A Family Business
Bavaria Auto Center was founded by Rodolfo “Rudy” Fonseca, a race car enthusiast, top-notch import mechanic, and all around family man. Rudy was born in Lima, Peru where he received his education in automotive mechanics.
He started his career as a mechanic at Volvo of Peru and was promoted to foreman quickly. Four years later he joined a BMW dealership in Lima, where he discovered a passion for race car driving.
Rudy’s determination moved him to Los Angeles to seek a better opportunity for his family. He quickly found employment as a top BMW mechanic and was in high demand at several BMW dealers.
As he continued his career as a mechanic and foreman, Rudy would see the need for BMW & Mercedes Benz authorized service centers. He would capitalize on this opportunity by opening his own shop in the city of Alhambra.
Bavaria Auto Center was born!
The only thing Rudy loves more than BMW’s is his family. Rudy wanted to make sure to include his family in the business and so he brought his wife in, Flor, to assist with the marketing, advertising, accounting and payroll. Flor was born in El Salvador where she received her education in Office Management.
Rudy also brought in his son Erik Fonseca to manage some aspects of the business. Erik holds a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan. Erik assists Rudy with the day to day operations as well as finding opportunities for business growth.
Throughout his years in the automotive industry, Rudy has shared his vast knowledge with his employees. He offers training workshops twice a year and other benefits to help his employees grow. Bavaria Auto Center has grown from to a 20,000 square foot facility, providing top-notch maintenance, repair, and services.
